Lucie GAGNON - Fine Art Pencil Drawings

Lucie M. Gagnon is a self taught French Canadian artist who has spent the majority of her life in a small village located in the vast James Bay Frontier of Northern Ontario. It's during that period of time that she first began to explore and develop a passion for nature and her art. That remote experience became the inspiration and driving force behind her works when she moved to Goulais River in 2001, north of Sault Ste. Marie.
It's from her small studio "Among the Trees" near lake Superior where Lucie creates her lead pencil artworks. Her art draws deeply from her personal visions with nature gained while canoeing, snowshoeing and camping. With her pencils she reveals lights, shadows and reflections of ever-changing seasons, so unique to Canada.
