Wayne & Sylvia ROSE - Raku & Stoneware Pottery

Wayne and Sylvia Rose have featured their work during the annual Haliburton Studio Tour and in the past they have been successful participants of the annual Studio Tour associated with the Uxbridge Celebration of the Arts. They specialize in raku, a unique pottery technique with the most unusual and vibrant finishes. One can view exciting and exhilarating patterns, colours, textures and lustres on traditional tea bowls, vessels, vases and figurines. Sculptures include the wonderfully whimsical dragon teapots and dragons from six inch to three feet. Also featured are function stoneware pieces. Wayne has had a one-man show in sculpture at the Bell Museum in Sudbury and has participated in numerous group show where he has won awards. These include the McLaughan Gallery in Oshawa and the Lacham Gallery in Stouffville. Wayne and Sylvia feature their work also in private and corporate collections around the world.
