Karen CAMERON – Jeweller
Bella Grey jewellery grew from the courage, faith, and creative focus that were essential in facing and overcoming uncertain and challenging personal circumstances. I have been creating in one way or another for most of my life but it wasn’t until fairly recently that I gave myself permission to more fully follow my artistic ideas. That became a path for purposefully moving toward positivity, and Bella Grey was the result.
Each piece presents a new opportunity to play. Each wonderful and whimsical accessory represents the strength and fulfillment that can come from accepting life’s difficulties and redirecting perspective toward growth, possibilities, and happiness.
I am inspired by a wide variety of materials and many Bella Grey jewellery designs start with one of my favourites…beautifully smooth, wonderfully contoured natural beach stones. Other designs incorporate vintage and re-purposed elements like lustrous old buttons. I love to embellish pieces with extra touches of glass and metal. No two pieces are exactly alike and all will deliver a unique and personal statement about the women who wear them.
I work out of a small home studio in Grey County near the Georgian Bay beaches where I gather my stones, but aim to make my jewellery available in many areas of southern Ontario through home jewellery parties, at arts & crafts shows, and at various specialty retail locations. Custom orders are another option at home parties and art shows.
I have so enjoyed wearing and sharing my Bella Grey pieces with friends and know you will too!
