W.J. (Bill) Cornwall has always been interested in painting and nature. When he retired and moved to the Haliburton Highlands, he had the opportunity to combine these interests. He is essentially a self taught artist but has benefited from workshops at the Haliburton School of the Arts.
The subject of most of Bill’s paintings is the beauty and serenity of the Highlands, Algonquin Park and surrounding areas. He likes to paint the effects of light on the lakes, streams, forest trails and old buildings in all seasons through the mediums of watercolour, acrylic and oil.
