James GOODLIFF – Painter

James was born in Lindsay ON, Canada in 1979.
His formal training includes the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where he studied Fine Art, and Niagara College where he studied graphic design and commercial illustration.
While his subjects include wildlife, fantasy, and portraiture, he is primarily known for his description of the Canadian landscape. Artwork ranges from small panels to larger canvasses in a manner similar to members of the Group of Seven. Most of James’ current work is in oil. He has also done considerable work in acrylic, pastel, and digital media.
His paintings are rich with bold colour and flowing impressions and texture, often described as dreamy for it’s ability to engage the viewer.
He has participated in several exhibitions, and his works are part of many corporate and private collections internationally.
