Elise MULLER – Stone Sculptor
Elise grew up in Hamilton and went to art school in Dublin Ireland,
followed by McMaster University. It was at Haliburton School of Art +
Design that she learned the art of stone carving and is now a part-time
summer faculty member. She has been a stone sculptor since 2001.
Elise carves a variety of stones such as Marble, Alabaster, Limestone, and
Granite. Her work ranges from small pendants to large sculptures for
gardens and for public places. Elise’s limestone ‘Connections’ greets
visitors to the Dorset ON Community Health Hub and her granite
‘Attunement’ is in the permanent collection at Kingsbrae Garden in St.
Andrews NB after winning the Canadian Sculpture Competition in 2018.
Elise’s limestone ‘Dancers’ was purchased and donated to the town of
Fergus ON in 2020. She has displayed sculptures downtown in the Elora
Sculpture Project and the Downtown Haliburton Sculpture Exhibition.
Elise has also participated in the Collingwood Art Crawl as well as the
